Farmersville offense struggles in loss to Gainesville

by | Oct 8, 2022 | Latest, Sports

The Farmersville football team couldn’t right the ship on the road, falling 20-7 to Gainesville Friday night.

Defensively, Farmersville (0-2, 2-4) was able to force a couple of turnovers, but the offense failed to capitalize on opportunities. Jeralin Craddock scored the lone touchdown with just over eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, converting on a four-yard run.

After the onside kick attempt was recovered by Gainesville (2-1, 2-5), the Leopards managed to take five minutes off the clock on their next drive before stopping the Farmers on downs.

Farmersville will regroup at home next Friday against Van Alstyne.
