Lady Farmers honor seniors, defeat Community

by | Oct 13, 2022 | Latest, Sports

No. 3 Farmersville honored their senior class pregame, then rallied to defeat Community 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-22, 25-12) Tuesday night.

The Lady Braves (4-5, 20-11) battled back to win the second set, using creative hits to make up for their size disadvantage against the Lady Farmers (8-1, 37-2) and even took a 22-21 lead in set three. Farmersville’s defense stepped up, however, to come back and win the pivotal set.

After that point, Community had run out of gas and couldn’t keep up with Angie Lee and Rendi Fetty, who imposed their will offensively in the final set. Fetty closed out the final set with a kill and the Lady Farmers improved to their 37th win of the season.

Farmersville will Wills Point Friday night in their next match.
