The Farmersville softball team scored eight runs in the top of the fifth to defeat Princeton 14-8 on the road Tuesday night.
With the game tied at six heading into the fifth, the first eight Lady Farmer batters reached base in the inning, partly thanks to three Princeton errors. Baylee Valliant’s bunt drove in two runs on an errant throw, which she came around and scored on another throw.
Holland capped off the inning with an RBI double, her fourth of the game as she led the way with a 4-for-5 game, with four doubles and five RBIs.
Jamie Varga earned the win in the circle after throwing the first five and two-thirds, while also scoring four runs from the leadoff spot. Kaylie Casados closed out the game.
Farmersville travels to Mt. Pleasant this weekend for their next games. They play two games Thursday and Friday, followed by a Saturday morning game against Rains at 10:45 a.m.
