Farmersville baseball and softball both have important playoff games this weekend.
The Farmers baseball team, fresh off an undefeated, district championship season, opens the bi-district round of the state playoffs. They face off against fourth-seeded Mabank, who finished the season 11-12 overall and 6-6 in district play.
The Lady Farmers softball team enters the area round, coming off a bi-district playoff series victory over Kaufman. Up next, Farmersville faces off against North Lamar in a three-game series.

Friday, May 5: Farmersville vs. Mabank, 7 p.m. at Royse City High School
Softball area round
Game one: Friday, May 5, Farmersville vs. North Lamar, 6:30 p.m. at Bonham High School (Home team)
Game two: Saturday, May 6, Farmersville vs. North Lamar, 1 p.m. at Bonham High School (Away team)
Game three (If necessary): Saturday, May 6, 30 minutes after game two
