Farmersville kicked off its extended 150th birthday celebration Friday, June 2 with a birthday cake contest, followed by cake for everyone and a concert at the Onion Shed by The Blandelles.
The contest was held by the city, and three judges, Bertie Nue, Karah Smoot and Elisë Bobbitt, were chosen to judge the five cake entries at the Best Center prior to the concert.
