Farmersville Fire Chief Greg Massey presented a proposal to city council at the July 25 regular meeting that would contract ambulance transport services with the city of Princeton.
Previously performed by Collin County, Princeton will take over the responsibility due to it resources, location, and the fact that a majority of the 911 emergency medical services (EMS) transport services were out of Princeton.
Cities included as voting members in the coalition to receive services include Princeton, Blue Ridge, Farmersville, Josephine, Lowry Crossing, Melissa, Nevada, and Weston.
