FARMERSVILLE – It was a perfect evening to start the year for the Fightin’ Farmers, who cruised to a 53-0 victory over Eustace.
Playing in front of the home crowd on a game delayed for heat, the Farmers came out red hot on offense, marching down the field on their opening possession. Gerardo Reyes scored the first touchdown of the year as the Farmersville offensive line carved out space up the middle all evening.
Reyes didn’t stop there, as he bounced off one tackler and scampered for a 55-yard score on the Farmers’ next possession to quickly go up 14-0. There wasn’t much the Bulldogs could do in the first half, as Farmersville went up 34-0 at the break.
Following the win, Farmersville will travel to Dallas Molina next Friday, Sep. 1 in their second of four non-district games.
