Farmers, Bearcats game cancelled due to weather

by | Sep 9, 2023 | Latest, Sports

After a nice start to the season, Mother Nature interrupted the hotter than average football season with unexpected bad weather Friday night.

Farmersville, sporting a 2-0 record and averaging over 50 pts a game this year, played less than half a quarter at Pilot Point, before a weather delay and eventual cancellation ended the game.

Neither team scored, but Farmersville was showing promise early, before the teams had to leave the field with 8:21 remaining in the first quarter.

The Farmers, still atop District 5-4A, host the Community Braves (0-2) on Friday. Kick off is 7:30 p.m.
