GREENVILLE – The Fighting Farmers first playoff appearance since 2019 was not accompanied with a storybook ending, as the boys fell to Caddo Mills 38-10 on Friday. After dealing with offensive struggles in the regular-season finale against Aubrey, those troubles followed them into the postseason.

A field goal with just a minute left in the second quarter provided Farmersville’s only points of the opening half. Kaden Johnson would later punch in a touchdown from a yard out to cut the deficit to 28-10 in the third quarter.

Still, that was as close as the Farmers would get on this night. The team finished with a record of 7-4 on the season, while Caddo Mills advances to face Pleasant Grove in the second round.
