Farmers drop district-opener to Sunnyvale

by | Dec 28, 2023 | Sports

FARMERSVILLE – After winning a double-overtime thriller in Celeste, the Fightin Farmers returned home to face the Sunnyvale Raiders in their first district game of the season. However, the Farmers would not make it back-to-back wins, as they lost to the Raiders by the score of 72-51.

It was a night where Sunnyvale controlled the contest from start to finish. Still, Farmersville put a strong showing. Trailing by six after a quarter of play, the Farmers fought their way back in the early portion of the second quarter.
