Fightin’ Farmers top Bland in final tourney

by | Jan 4, 2024 | Sports

LEONARD, TX – Starting off fresh in 2024 is just what the Farmersville Fightin’ Farmers need after three straight losses in the Leonard Holiday basketball tournament. Farmersville opened the event on a good note, defeating Bland in the opening round 72-63 before hitting the three-game skid.

The Farmersville shooters started off a bit off in the first quarter of play, but quickly warmed up to take a lead before the first half was over. Their defense played a huge factor with steals and defensive rebounding, as the Farmers led at the break 25-20.
