Students recognized, campus improvements recap at Feb. trustee meeting

Farmersville High School students from several organizations and clubs were recognized at the Feb. 26 school board meeting.

Groups recognized included FHS Cheer, Band, Robotics, and FFA.

FHS Cheer received a third place ribbon at UIL competition and also finished 7th out of 24 teams in national competition.

Also, the “Thrill of Farmersville” Band had 16 students qualify for All-Region Band, with 9 advancing to Area competition.

Three students qualified for All-State Band, which is comprised of approximately the top 2% of all band students throughout the state.

Similarly, the robotics team demonstrated success this year by receiving 2nd place at UIL competition.

Principals outlined campus improvements plans as well.
