Man run over, pronounced dead

At approximately 9:51 am today, the Collin County Sheriff’s office reported ​deputies were dispatched to a major vehicle accident, involving a pedestrian off County Road 615 in Farmersville. The pedestrian was pronounced dead by medical personnel on scene. The driver, who called 911, informed dispatchers that he ran over his father. He was taken into custody pending further investigation.

Due to this being an active and ongoing investigation, CCSO reported that further details will not be disclosed at this time.

The Farmersville Times will update the story as more information becomes available.
