Each of Farmersville powerlifting teams made their way to Decatur last week to compete in the Class 4A Region VI Division II Meet last week. While the girls got their turn on Thursday, taking fourth in the event, the boys took the stage on Saturday, edging Celina for the regional crown.
The Farmers bested Celina by just two points in the team scoring with 30 points, with Decatur not far behind with 26 for third. It’s just the second time in school history that the boys powerlifting team has won a regional meet.
