Farmersville Independent School District Micheal French believes the school district he runs is getting a new high school for a third of the price it would normally have cost.
Why is that? “Because to build a high school from scratch,” he said, “it would have cost $150 million. We’re getting a new campus for $50 million,” which is being paid for with funds approved by Farmersville ISD voters in a 2021 bond issue election. The total bond package that voters approved was for $65 million.
