Farmersville High School’s top two academic finishers are heading in different directions in pursuit of the same goal.

They are seeking successful careers in divergent occupations.

The FHS Class of 2024 valedictorian is Mariana Arteaga, the daughter of Javier and Oralia Arteaga. Mariana plans to attend the University of North Texas in Denton, majoring in education. She finished her academic career in Farmersville High School with a 4.3856 weighted grade point average. Her final GPA was a slight fraction better than the GPA logged by salutatorian Abby Magee, who ends her FHS career with a weighted GPA of 4.3850.
