The gyms of Farmersville were full last week, as Lady Farmers of a variety of ages showed up to participate in Coach Arian May’s youth camp. While the baseball boys had to use several different facilities because of the weather outside, Coach May had to do for other reasons.

Well over 100 players came out to take part in the camp, forcing Coach May to split the campers into groups by age before spreading them across the gyms in the high school, junior high and intermediate school.

“We had about 140 kids in the end that signed up,” Coach May said. “That’s about 50 more than last year. We had to utilize all three gyms. Everything seemed to go smoothly, even though we had to have 40 or 45 kids in each gym.”
