Farmersville city councilmembers have been busy lately with regular meetings two weeks in a row as they adapt to the new format to meet the first and third Mondays of each month, a change from the previous second and fourth Tuesday regular council meetings.
Additionally, council held a special meeting Thursday, Aug 15, to discuss a new law firm to represent Farmersville.
At the regular meeting Monday, Aug. 19, councilmembers were introduced to Messer Fort, PLLC, the legal firm that will represent the city following the resignation of the previous longtime legal counsel, Brown and Hofmeister, LLP.
