The city of Farmersville is expected to adopt a property tax rate for the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25) at its Sept. 16 regular council meeting. The rate is lower than last year’s but will raise more tax revenue.
The proposed tax rate of $0.676773 per $100 of assessed value is a decrease from the previous year’s rate of $0.712400.
The proposed FY25 rate is comprised of 0.475137 from maintenance and operations (M&O) and $0.201636 for interest and sinking fund (I&S).
