Farmersville rolls into bye week 4-1 with win over Gainesville in district opener

The Farmersville football team is on a roll heading into its bye week.

The Farmers (4-1, 1-0) outscored Gainesville 24-0 in the second half to cruise to a 45-14 victory on Friday night from Gainesville in the District 5-4A Div. II opener for both teams.

Sophomore quarterback Levi McAbee threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns. Junior running back Gordon Swartz finished with 157 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Farmersville will return to action on Friday, Oct. 11 against Bonham from Farmers Stadium.
