Assistant Superintendent for Finance Anna Baker presented the results of the annual FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) report at a Farmersville ISD public hearing on Monday, Oct. 28, revealing the district received a “Superior” rating, the highest possible score, with 98 points out of 100.
Baker explained that the scoring is based on 21 indicators measuring the financial health of a school district. The report also includes required disclosures, such as the superintendent’s contract, reimbursements to the superintendent and board members, gifts over $250, outside compensation for consulting by the superintendent and any business transactions between board members and the district.
