TEXARKANA — Fresh off shutting out Canton 27-0 to earn their first playoff win since 2016, Farmersville was unable to conjure up the same magic against state-ranked Pleasant Grove.

The Hawks forced five Farmers turnovers and Pleasant Grove scored 28 first-quarter points to cruise to a 63-7 win over Farmersville in a Class 4A-Division II, area-round playoff game from Hawk Stadium on Thursday evening.

The lone touchdown for Farmersville came on a 13-yard strike from sophomore quarterback Levi McAbee to senior wide receiver Drake Grimes early in the second quarter.

Farmersville finished the season with an 8-4 record.
