Farmersville city council members received a presentation on the proposed Windsor Farms housing development at the Tuesday, Jan. 21 meeting, a project that could bring nearly 900 new homes to the area. Council also approved multiple grants, tabled zoning discussions and accepted the resignation of Councilmember Lance Hudson.
The Clairemont Development Group detailed plans for the 891-lot subdivision, which would be located south of County Road 558, across from Lakehaven on Highway 78. The project includes a commercial tract along the highway, a three-acre amenities center and a network of parks ensuring every resident is within a five-minute walk of green space. A pond is also planned for the property.
