French to lead Texas school finance organization

FISD Superintendent Micheal French, pictured earlier in the school year at the opening of the new FHS facilities, was named president of the Public Education Resource Equity Center, a school finance organization representing over 400 school districts across Texas.

Micheal French, the superintendent of Farmersville Independent School District, has been named president of the Public Education Resource Equity Center (Equity Center). The organization is the leading group that advocates for fair and adequate funding for Texas public schools.

The Equity Center represents over 400 school districts across the state and is dedicated to ensuring that public schools receive the financial resources necessary to support students and their educational success. With over 42 years of experience in school finance, the nonprofit organization plays a critical role in shaping funding policies for Texas schools.
