Commissioner Darrell Hale, center, speaks to residents who live within the ETJ about the formation of an emergency services district at a meeting Monday, April 14 at the fire station.

A panel of four leaders responded to questions about the formation of an emergency services district (ESD) for residents who live outside Farmersville city limits but within the extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ) area.

Precinct 3 Collin County Commissioner Darrell Hale, Farmersville Fire Chief Greg Massey, City Manager Ben White and Mayor Craig Overstreet addressed an audience gathered at the Farmersville Fire Station Monday, April 14.

Most of those in attendance reside in the ETJ, including residents of the Lakehaven subdivision, which is also located outside the city limits.
