Farmersville City Council addressed several real estate properties in various stages of development during its regular meeting May 5.
Council members unanimously approved a voluntary annexation of approximately 252 acres located east of Highway 78, west of the Kansas City Southern Railroad, north of Tom Bean Creek, and south of Highway 380. The area, known as Windsor Farms, was also unanimously zoned for planned development with a mix of single-family residential and commercial uses.
The development will feature three lot sizes, pocket parks and an amenities center for residents. No speakers addressed the council during the public hearing portion related to the annexation and zoning ordinances. A development agreement between the city and the developer is already in place.
