Francisco Martinez was named the city’s Police Officer of the Year for 2025. He was introduced to the Farmersville Rotary Club at the Tuesday, May 27 meeting.
It took Francisco Martinez virtually no time to make an indelible mark on the Farmersville Police Department.
The 35-year-old patrol officer joined the department in May 2023. In just two years, he has been named Farmersville’s Police Officer of the Year for 2025.
Police Chief Marsha Phillips praised Martinez for bringing what she described as a “spirit of positivity” to his work. Introducing the Officer of the Year at the May 27 Farmersville Rotary Club luncheon, Phillips added that Martinez brings “a remarkable sense of humor to a field of work that often requires a positive force to step up.”
