FISD approves budget, raises for staff

by | Jul 3, 2025 | Education, Latest

Farmersville ISD Chief Financial Officer Anna Baker presented details of the district’s 2025 budget during a public hearing held prior to the June 30 regular school board meeting.

No public comments were made following the presentation.

Baker said the budget was based on projected enrollment and expected property values. Final tax rates won’t be approved until August, once certified values are received from the county appraisal district.

The proposed budget is based on enrollment of 2,500 students districtwide—an increase of 101 students, or 4.21%, compared to end-of-year numbers. As of June 30, 30 new students had already enrolled for the upcoming school year.
