With District 13-4A play set to commence this week, Farmersville head volleyball coach Arian May said that her team is playing well at the right time – a good sign as the Lady Farmers enter the most important part of their season schedule.

Farmersville continued its winning ways on Tuesday, Sept. 16, earning a 3-1 road win (25-15, 26-24, 24-26, 25-5) against North Lamar.

Junior Peighton Purser logged 20 kills to pace Farmersville’s offense and also stepped up defensively by chipping in 20 digs. She was one of five players for the Lady Farmers to finish with double digits in digs, complemented by 13 digs from senior Alexia Hernandez, 12 each from junior Isabella Lopez and sophomore Brinlea McDole and 10 from junior Breelynn Pollard.

Pollard and Hernandez also set up the offense well, dishing out 20 and 21 assists, respectively. Sophomore Cambrant Donaldson had 10 kills, and junior Aaliya Corzine had eight kills on the night.
