Future school attendance zoning discussed

The 2027-28 school year may feel far away, yet Farmersville ISD leaders are already preparing for a shift that will bring three elementary campuses to the district.

During the regular meeting Monday, Oct. 27, Superintendent Micheal French presented a tentative planning model for future attendance zones. Once the new elementary school in the Lakehaven development is built, the district expects to rezone students between Tatum Elementary, Farmersville Intermediate and the yet-to-be-named campus.
