Farmersville junior Breelynn Pollard concluded a breakout season with a 64th-place finish at the Class 4A state cross country meet last Saturday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, crossing the finish line in a time of 12:30.

For Pollard, it marked the first time that she competed in the state meet.

Pollard qualified for the state meet after she placed 14th at the Region II-4A meet at Harold Patterson Sports Center in Arlington with a time of 12:33. That performance comes less than two weeks after she ran to second place at the District 13-4A meet with a time of 13:34.
