Farmersville ISD trustees unanimously voted Nov. 17 to extend Superintendent Micheal French’s contract through mid-2028 and heard encouraging updates on the district’s fastest-growing student group: English-language learners who now speak 19 different languages at home.
The board spent most of its brief monthly meeting in executive session evaluating French’s performance and compensation before returning to open session to approve the renewal.
French’s current contract runs through June 30, 2028, with an annual salary of $262,500. He remains eligible for performance pay equal to 5% of base salary if he receives a rating of “Proficient” or higher on his annual evaluation.
