Parkway updates, Chaparral Trail modifications presented

by | Feb 26, 2026 | Area news, Latest

Farmersville City Council confirmed Tuesday that incumbents Kristi Mondy and Coleman Strickland will run unopposed in the May election, as members also received updates on major street, trail and facility improvement projects.

The meeting, held one day later than usual because of the Presidents Day holiday, began with a moment of silence in remembrance of former Councilmember Terry Williams, who recently died.

Jacob Dupuis of Dunaway Engineering provided an update on construction of Farmersville Parkway. He said right-of-way documents are being finalized between the city and landowners under the supervision of legal counsel.
