by | Apr 9, 2026 | Area news, Latest

Commissioners of Collin County Emergency Services District No. 1 have held their second meeting as they prepare to oversee fire protection for county residents who live in rural areas outside of city limits.

Meeting Monday, March 30, at the county’s Jack Hatchell Administration Building in McKinney, the board discussed tax collection

services, interlocal agreements and emergency service contracts.

The board convened in open session and heard public testimony on agenda items before turning to routine business, including approval of minutes from its Feb. 23 organizational meeting.

Among the items discussed was a tax collection services agreement with the Collin County Tax Assessor-Collector, as well as the submission of a new governmental organization to the Collin Central Appraisal District.
