Sheriff joins global public safety program

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office says Sheriff Jim Skinner recently participated in an international public safety initiative in Germany and Poland alongside more than 120 law enforcement leaders and students from around the world.

According to a Sheriff’s Office, no county tax dollars were used for the trip, with expenses covered by the National Sheriffs’ Association.

While in Berlin, Skinner took part in signing a memorandum of understanding with international law enforcement partners aimed at strengthening cooperation and addressing emerging threats, including extremism.
