A team of student engineers from Farmersville High School recently tested their skills against some of the best in the world, competing at the VEX Robotics World Championship April 21-24 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Team 87490Z, known as “Men in Purple,” earned its spot at the international competition following a dominant season in the VEX V5 Robotics Competition, including a Region 2 state championship that secured the program’s only trip to worlds this year.
The team — Walker Liebert, Gavin Dillon, Mason Day, Travis Lombard, Addison Adams and Liam McLaughlin — represents the district’s Engineering Academy and brings together a diverse mix of skills that has proven to be a competitive advantage.
