Farmersville Honors Academy to offer rigorous online learning

by | May 14, 2026 | Area news, Education, Latest

Farmersville ISD is launching a new full-time virtual honors program designed for academically advanced students in grades 7-12, offering a flexible online learning model paired with expanded Advanced Placement, dual-credit and career training opportunities.

The new Farmersville Honors Academy, operated by Farmersville ISD in partnership with Collin College, will serve students who have demonstrated academic readiness through STAAR performance or approved entrance assessments. District officials describe the academy as a rigorous, no-cost public school option for self-directed learners seeking an alternative to the traditional campus experience.

“FHA builds on the strong programs already in place at Farmersville ISD offering a tailored option for academically prepared students and families who want more flexibility and access to course options that aren’t always available in a traditional setting,” said Assistant Superintendent Micah Taylor.
