Rike Library plans summer fun for local youth

The Rike Memorial Library is gearing up for a summer full of family-friendly activities as part of its 2026 Summer Programs lineup, featuring interactive shows, educational programs and plenty of outdoor fun.

The series kicks off Wednesday, June 10, with a Foam Party in the parking lot in front of the library located at 205 S. Main Street in Farmersville. The event will include music, prizes and outdoor fun beginning at 1 p.m.

On Wednesday, June 17, the Blackland Prairie Raptor Program, from its namesake nonprofit in Lucas, will visit the O.E. Carlisle Civic Center, giving attendees an opportunity to learn more about birds of prey. The program begins at 1 p.m.
