Farmersville ISD trustees approved a budget Monday for fiscal year 2026-27, which began Wednesday.

The FY 2027 budget projects revenue of $34,263,520 and expenses of $34,552,519, resulting in a projected deficit of $288,999.

Superintendent Micheal French said the deficit is due to capital expenses carried over from the previous budget.

FISD Finance Director Anna Baker presented trustees with a projected tax rate of $1.2303 per $100 of taxable valuation. Of that amount, 73.08 cents per $100 would fund maintenance and operations, while 49.995 cents would fund debt service.
