Council approves zoning changes, budget updates

From welcoming a new city manager to reshaping zoning rules, Farmersville City Council tackled a wide range of issues during meetings held June 30 and July 6. 

During the June 30 special meeting, council approved three resolutions updating authorized representatives for the city’s TexStar, TexPool and Local Government Investment Cooperative (LOGIC) investment accounts. The changes update the officials authorized to manage municipal funds and conduct financial transactions on behalf of the city.

At the Monday, July 6 regular meeting, Angela Smith was sworn in as Farmersville’s new city manager.
