Farmersville incoming senior outside hitter Peighton Purser has been busy this summer playing with her club team, Premier 17 Black G.

One of Purser’s top highlights came June 30-July 3 at the United States Volleyball Girls Junior 14-17 National Championship, where she helped lead Premier 17 Black G to second place in the 17 American Division at Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Premier 17 Black G went 10-2 overall and won 22 of the 31 sets that it played. The squad topped Alamo 17 Premier in three sets (25-22, 22-25, 15-12) in the Round of 16, rallied for a 2-1 win (18-25, 25-22, 18-16) over HP Illinois 17 National in the quarterfinals, outlasted Zona VBC 17-Black in three sets (26-24, 23-25, 15-9) in the semifinals and lost a three-set thriller to Northern Lights 17-2 (17-25, 25-23, 9-15) in the championship match.

Purser, a Sam Houston State commit, will look to help lead her high school team, Farmersville, to another winning season this fall. The Lady Farmers have made the playoffs in each of her first three seasons donning a Farmersville uniform, including an appearance in the third round during her freshman season. Farmersville is in search of a 13th consecutive playoff appearance.

Purser is coming off a standout junior season in which she was named the District 13-4A Offensive Player of the Year and also earned a selection on the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 4A all-state honorable mention team. She finished with team highs in kills (505), service aces (85) and blocks (45) and also contributed 351 digs and 35 assists.

Farmersville is scheduled to commence the 2026 season on Aug. 11 with a home match against Pottsboro, scheduled for a 3 p.m. start from Farmersville Arena.
