Financial report gives FISD high marks

Farmersville ISD trustees breezed through a brief regular meeting Monday after hearing a strong financial report from district finance director Anna Baker.

The Texas Education Agency requires public school districts to file a Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas, or FIRST, report each year. The report details whether districts are meeting state-mandated fiscal requirements.

Farmersville ISD scored 98 out of a possible 100 for the 2025-26 academic year, Baker told trustees. The score was four points higher than the previous reporting year.
