Farmersville employees will see several changes to workplace policies after City Council approved an updated personnel policy manual Monday, Oct. 5.
The council heard from Belinda Decker, the city’s human resources generalist, who outlined changes in the new employee handbook covering compensation and leave, discipline and appeals, travel, technology and drug and alcohol testing.
Among the changes are the elimination of the city’s vacation sellback policy, random drug testing for all employees, a new mental health leave policy for peace officers and telecommunicators, military leave requirements and cybersecurity training.
