The Farmersville football team (1-4, 3-7) couldn’t close their season on a high note, losing their season finale to Sunnyvale 66-0 Friday, Nov. 5.
Impact Stat: Raiders recover three onside kicks
Sunnyvale won in all three factors of the game. The Raiders were explosive on offense, while their defense held Farmersville scoreless for the first time this season.
They even excelled on special teams, led by their kicking coverage. In the first quarter, Sunnyvale recovered three onside kicks, turning all three into touchdowns. These plays set the tone early, allowed the Raiders to build a 21-0 lead and put Farmersville into a deficit they would never close.
After being mathematically eliminated last week, the Farmers failed to reach the postseason for the second consecutive season.
