TxDOT reveals plans to ‘keep it movin’

One day – and Texas transportation planners can’t yet say when that will occur – motorists traveling between Denton and Greenville will be able to avoid traffic lights, stop signs and other assorted hassles on U.S. Highway 380 by traveling along bypass routes around five communities along the length of the highway.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the routes – comprising three lanes in each direction – will be labeled “freeways” with frontage roads, along with on- and off-ramps. That was among the many messages that TxDOT delivered to Farmersville residents in an afternoon-long session April 28 at the Collin College-Farmersville library.
