‘Tis the season for Santa, annual parade, more

More memory-making events are on tap this weekend in Farmersville for individuals and families who enjoy the city’s small-town charm.

Along with Christmas shopping opportunities on or near the square, visitors can step back in time with a visit to the Bain-Honaker House, explore history and LEGOs at the Farmersville Heritage Museum, participate in or observe the annual parade on the square and attend a showing of a famed Christmas comedy at Fine Arts on Main.

To begin, kick off the weekend with a great musical performance by First Baptist Farmersville’s choir and orchestra as they present “Noel! Born is the King” Friday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. outside at the Warehouse parking lot.

The Farmersville Chamber of Commerce’s Wild West theme parade is set for Saturday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. For individuals or groups still debating whether to watch or participate in the parade, there are only a few days left to decide. The entrance fee is only $10 and goes toward local charities. Local nonprofits and first responders can participate in the parade for free.
