Kinsleigh Sawatsky is a young woman who intends to see as much of this “big world” as she can.

She is using her feet to see that world and plans to keep on hiking along thousands of miles of trails through the United States. Sawatsky brought her message of adventure to the Farmersville Rotary Club on Tuesday, Jan. 10, delivering a lively talk to Rotarians.

Sawatsky lives in Garland. She graduated from Caddo Mills High School and received her bachelor’s degree in education from Texas A&M-Commerce. The 24-year-old told the Rotary Club of her most recent hike: 2,800 miles from southern New Mexico to the Montana border with Canada.
