Like last week it took Farmersville some time to develop a rhythm on offense, but they got a different result, a win.

The Farmers gave up a Krum score late in the first quarter and played catchup for most of game trailing 14-0 at halftime.

After homecoming festivities, the teams traded punts and Farmersville switched up their offensive scheme with a first and goal at the Krum nine-yard line.

Quarterback Caden Norman, who had a combined 426 passing and rushing yards and a touchdown, was switched out for a wildcat attack with wide-receiver Kaden Johnson taking direct snaps.

Johnson scored Farmersville’s first touchdown midway through the third quarter when he ran three consecutive plays.

That touchdown kick-started the Farmers’ offense and the defense held the Bobcats to just seven points the rest of the game.

Farmersville tied the game with 6:55 in the fourth quarter and the defense forced overtime.

Krum missed a 50-yard field goal on the first OT possession and the Farmers, after a big gain by Norman, let Gerardo Reyes punch in the final touchdown from two yards out.

Farmersville (5-2, 2-2) is tied with Gainesville (5-3, 2-2) for third place in district and travels to Sanger (1-7, 0-4) on Friday.
