Farmersville Lady Pirates celebrate as Bi-District Champions Monday night.

Updated Nov. 2, 2023; 4:30 p.m.

The Lady Farmers were again in a familiar spot Monday, the playoffs.

After finishing in second place in District 14-4A, Farmersville (35-5, 10-2) hosted Dallas Carter on Monday night (Oct 30) for their first playoff game of 2023.

The bi-district match proved to be a tune up for the home team, sweeping Carter 3-0 (25-7, 25-4, 25-7).

Coach Arian May was pleased with the way her team handled the match.

“The girls played really well together last night,” she said. “They were hitting on all cylinders and had fun on the court.”

“We executed in all aspects of the game. Our serving was good. We had multiple people who took advantage offensively.”

Farmersville will play Texarkana Pleasant Grove at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 in Mount Pleasant in the Area Round.
