Come learn about the many unique opportunities for students interested in FFA at Howdy Night Aug. 15.
The Farmersville FFA officers invite FISD students in grades 3-12 to their annual Howdy Night on Thursday, Aug. 15. The event promises a fun-packed evening dedicated to learning about the world of agriculture.
The festivities will take place at the Ag Shop, starting with a meal at 6 p.m. The main meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m., which will also include a special parent interest meeting.
During Howdy Night, students will learn about the multitude of pathways available through the FFA. They can express themselves through games and interactive moments with the officer team. Whether your child enjoys flowers and floral arrangements, has a passion for animals and dreams of working with them, likes building and creating new things, or has a talent for public speaking, there is a pathway for everyone in FFA.
“We’re excited to welcome both students and parents to learn more about the opportunities in FFA and the impact of agriculture in our lives,” said the Farmersville FFA officers.
The event is an excellent opportunity for students to connect, ask questions of the Ag teachers and the officers, and get involved in the upcoming year’s activities. Parents are especially encouraged to attend to understand the benefits and commitments involved in FFA participation.
The Ag barn is located at 501 Wilcoxson St. near the tennis courts.
